OS 6.1.7 was released with Netatalk v3.0.7. Which is kind of odd since there's a 3.0.8 version available which fixes some bugs that appeared in 3.0.7:
FIX: dbd: remove orphaned ._ AppleDouble files. Bug #549.
FIX: afpd: Fix a crash in of_closefork(). Bug #551.
