Hi all, I have just tried to access my route directory to add movies for storage and realised that ReadyNAS has been discontinued. My phone and TV can still access the content stored, but I cannot manage it or access it to download or move my backed up data. This includes movies but also home movies and photos which are precious so I would like to access them. Any pointers? I am not very tech savvy. Thank you #readyNAS
ReadyCloud has never been necessary to administer or use the NAS locally. The GUI is available in your browser and files can be accessed via SMB. If you only used a ReadyCloud account, then you'll need to create a local one.
Your best bet is to use RAIDar from ReadyNAS-Downloads to locate the NAS on your network and then select the "Admin Page" button. Log in as user admin and whatever password you chose for the admin password (or password if you never changed it).
From there, you'll want to create a local user (logging in as admin for non-admin tasks is not the best to do) and set up user permissions. The manuals from Readynas_os_6#docs will help you with how to do that.
