New 314 > No permission to access user home folders
Hi, So I did swap the underpowered 104 for the 314 and set it all up again. This is far less daunted, load-wise, by anything I throw at it. My shares work just fine, but quite early on I notic...

Whilst the fact I'm not alone is somewhat comforting in as far as it seems I'm not doing something stupid, it is frustrating that no solution seems out there.
The 104 I toiled with last week didn't have this issue at all, same 6.0.4 software, just a different CPU.
Factory resetting it again, 3rd time lucky, is not something I look forward to. I worked through the night twice already this week to make sure the data was available to staff in the day.
I have logged a ticket with Netgear, hopefully they won't actually deny support for having enabled SSH.
I personally don't care much about me as admin having access to other users' private home folder. If I need to, I'll jump/remote desktop in to their PCs. What I do care about is that they can all, including myself, see and make use of our own private home folder, which we can't.
If this is a firmware thing, I may just have to keep the Duo purely for home folder purposes, or indeed create quasi-home folders through shares. But let's wait till I hear back from Netgear.
