With the RN102, users can access their home shares (all except admin, which is odd). It sounds like this might be more messed up on the 3xx.

To your comment above... Deleting their snapshots, or rolling back to files they accidentally deleted is probably something you still need to do, as this is not available to users at all (AFAIK). And if snapshots get out of control, they consume all the file space.
Basically, a private share should always be what you call a "quasi-home" share. The admin should see it, be able to manage it, reset permissions, etc. Of course you can do this with ssh, but it shouldn't be necessary.
