I have just learned how to get the unit set up in RAID6 from the start. This is way more efficient than trying to do an expansion. 1. Start with a factory default boot and all drive bays populated. At the end of this process, my unit reported that it would take 34 hours to build a RAID 6 array consisting of six 4TB disks. Much faster than my earlier attempt that took 14 hours to build a 5 disk RAID5 array and then reported that it would take over 200 hours to expand this to a 6 disk RAID6 array. Thanks again to the Netgear Tech Support team for their help in getting my RN up and running again.
