You can normally just migrate the drives. So something bad must have happened when the power supply failed - likely some writes queued up that never got written to the disks..
You could contact support again, they might be able to mount the drives for you. But if the raid array isn't quite in sync there could be some corruption of the files. I'd just bite the bullet and start the rsyncs going.

New volume created, rsync started from scratch. All is well.
(Well ... all but my own patience ... :smileywink: )
