New compatible 3TB hard drive not detected by Ready Nas 2-Bay RN212
Hi, I have just newly purchased a readynas 212 2-bay diskless along with compatible 3TB hard drives (WD30EFRX) however when going through the setup the ReadyNas says it is unable to detect the hard ...

It would be best to get it replaced by the seller since it's brand new. I would not advise taking chances to make it work and since it's not getting detected then there's nothing to do anymore.
most likely mishandling is the cause or just unfortunate timing. :(

Thank You for your reply, I did check the drives by connecting them to the computer they do not appear discoverable, I just tested another smaller 160GB drive into the NAS which has been detected. It is hard to believe the that 2x 3TB could be faulty, or is there a way to get these drives to appear in disk management or the NAS system?
