New Drive needed
I am kind of new to the NAS world so please forgive me! I have a READYNAS NV+ with 2 500G Seagate ES.2 drives, model st3500320ns. One of them has went out and I need to replace it. It appears that this model drive is no longer available. Can I install a different one without upgrading the other as well? Any help and/or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredYes you can replace the drive with another 500GB or greater capacity drive on the compatibility list. See http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/20641
Did you purchase the NAS brand new with the drives installed? - rsm425AspirantYes, it was purchased brand new several years ago.
I'll check the list and find one to order.
Thanks! - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredFYI your NV+ would be a NV+ (v1). So pick a drive from the list for the NV+ (v1).
What version of RAIDiator is running on your ReadyNAS? - rsm425AspirantI'm not sure on the version. I will have to check in the morning.
I do know that the drive says it is firmware SN05. - rsm425AspirantJust found out that the drive is still under warranty! Thanks for the help!
