Oops. I was thinking of 1MB/s. 2-3 MB/s (20-30 Mbit/s) would be optimal speeds over wireless G. 1 Mbit/s is slow.
Can you try a connection via ethernet and see what speeds you get to help isolate the cause of the issue?
