NIC RX dropped and error on Pro 6
when I transfer files from my PC windwos 7 to the pro 6, I see RX dropped count went up. is it normal?
They all finished with ok speed, but I am wondering if it is indicating something is wrong.
I do see some RX error after I transferred ~1 TB files, but when I do the testing below, I don't see any RX error.
Few thing I have tried (tranfer ~9GB files and each file are about 4GB):
change cables
use another network switch
use another windows 7 PC
removed add-on
reset back to factory default
use 2nd interface on Pro 6
Result are the same. RX dropped count will go up.
my cisco switch doesn't show any error on the port.
any suggestion?

Do you have the latest NIC drivers for the NIC in your PC installed on your PC?
Could you try a direct-connection?: http://sphardy.com/web/directconnect - gigibaAspirant4.2.17
yes
will try direct connection and report back - chazenAspirantTry installing 4.2.18, (which is now 4.2.19 because its been pulled due to the fact that any AFP-enabled share will inadvertently obtain guest access), from readynas.com the "news and events" page. It's not the support page which is where you think you would find it, but no. Installed 4.2.18 and it seems to be working much better, no thanks to their support line.
