Do you see any shares if you browse to \\192.168.1.243 in file explorer? (Make sure you use the correct slash).

Then you either used the wrong slash ( // instead of \\), or you were using the browser instead of file explorer.

I misread your post. So using Finder instead of a browser I am able to see the actual files. But still nothing on the Frontview

ok. 4.2.22 firmware dates back to 2012 (the final 4.2.x firmware was 4.2.31). So one possibility is that there is a browser incompatibility. FWIW, it is a bit surprising you are able to connect to frontview at all, since most browsers have deprecated TLS 1.0, which is all that your NAS can use.
So one path is to download an old version of firefox, and see if you can access frontview with it. Do you recall about when the last time you were able to access was?
Also, do you have a backup of the data on the NAS? Another path is to do a factory default, which would destroy the data.
