No snapshot on RN104

Volumes > 16TB are not yet supported on the 104 (support is coming in 6.4 - not yet available). And before 6.4 snapshots do not work with volumes >16TB on 32-bit systems. That is why your snapshots are not working.
It will work in 6.4, but you should create a fresh volume on that as your current one would already be corrupted.

Q1: at the moment where at 6.2.5 how long will it take till 6.4?
Q2: Would snapshots work with actual OS on RN204, RN304?

Q1. Can't give an ETA, but keep an eye on the forums.
Q2. Wouldn't work on 6.3.5 (current firmware for the RN204) but if you install a few packages from 6.4 on 6.3.5 it should work on the 204 (it still won't work on the 104 on 6.3.x as we don't support volumes
> 16TB on the 104 till 6.4). It is working for one user on a RN204 running 6.3.5 with the few select packages installed.
The RN314 is not a 32-bit system so it will work fine on that on current firmware. It would also work fine on your RN516.

Î use RN104 only for backup resons; the admin page shows vol data with 10TB free of 29TB in total. It seems to be > 16TB, or?

The kernel page cache address space is limited to 16TB on 32-bit systems. Without a workaround creating a volume > 16TB on a 32-bit system may result in the filesystem behaving very unpredictably and corruption is very likely.
We don't have any 6TB disks let alone the 8TB disks you are using on the hard disk compatibility list for the RN104 so we did not expect users to try using these capacity disks.
