If I've understood correctly, you posted your question in this forum (which is a place for discussing ReadyNAS devices) because the NETGEAR WNR3700 router runs ReadyDLNA to stream content from the S2 hard disc that you connect hrough USB to the router.
I have had problems streaming MKV files from my ReadyNAS NV+ to my Samsung series 5 TV, but the same files on a USB device plugged directly into the TV play back perfectly well.
I just (like, twenty minutes ago) found that there is a ReadyDLNA update available. Read this post too, to find out about the undocumented bug that might affect you (then again, it might not).
The new version is 1.0.21; if your current version is older, then installing the new version might fix your problem.
