NV+ and WD TV Live woes
I finally got around to replacing my f-ugly Sumvision media player with a shiny new WD TV Live. First issue was that the ReadyNAS didn't show up when it looked for CIF shares. Now I've had this pro...
Fixed.
Not entirely sure what it was that resolved the issue.
1) Disabled WINS on ReadyNAS and pointer to it on my router.
2) Turned DHCP back on, on my ReadyNAS
3) Set static IP for NV+ on the router, based on MAC
4) Altered range of router's DHCP pool to include the static IP for the NV+ (i.e. previously I had a pool I'd assign static on devices and range above for DHCP where I didn't care).
Rebooted everything and now the WD TV sees the CIF share. NFS still locks it up, but I can live without that.
