NV+ (v1) - RAM Memory Upgrade
My NV+ drives (4x 500GB) are starting to show first signs of failure. Granted I purchased my unit back in 2006 and got the free Wii. Which I sold for $400 in the Christmas rush and got my Xbox 360. So honestly, it's done well in lifespan. Netgear replaced the chasis about 2 years ago.
ANYWAYS....
I need to install new drives. How safe are 2TB drives compatibility wise?
I am also curious about upgrading the system memory from the default 256mb to 1gb. Thoughts?

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserI have 2 TB drives in my NV+ v1 and my Duo v1. I see non reason to avoid them, as long as you are running firmware that supports them. Do search the forum for the specific drives you are considering (before you buy!).
Of course the newer NAS are faster, but if you are ok with your current speeds you might as well keep it in service. I'd upgrade the firmware, and then upgrade the drives. Leave the RAM alone until that is finished. - theSajAspirantI'm looking at the WD Red 2TB drives.
