    Yes, that is why we don't recommend doing USB Boot Recovery unless we determine that it is necessary. Often USB Boot Recovery is done when it is not needed.

     

    USB Boot Recovery is only useful if the firmware on the internal flash is corrupt. If the NAS can boot into debug mode (either with/without the disks installed) then USB Boot Recovery is not needed.
