Ownership of .timemachine files

I am migrating file shares from ReadyNAS Pro to ReadyNAS 516. I have copied .timemachine/* files for Apple Mac users to the new ReadyNAS 516 machine and the files are owned by admin, not ReadyNAS. SSH is not enabled on either machine (which I assume would be an easy task with "chown -R ReadyNAS .timemachine").
How can these directories and related timemachine files be set to ReadyNAS owner?
What is the "correct" method to accomplish this task?
