Password For RND 4250 NAS
HI; and thatnks for reading my conumdrum! haha NAS RND 4250. I have lost my password and did not set it up to send me a reset email. So is there any way to recover without distroying the drive(s)...
You can do an OS re-install, which will not affect your data and will reset the password to the default, which is netgear1 for your NAS. But be careful not to inadvertently select Factory Default, as that will destroy your data.
FYI, your NAS is what we refer to here as an NV+V1 (even if it has a sticker that says it's a v2 or v3). More users will know it by that name than RND4250. The "250" in the model number just means it shipped with two 500GB drives, BTW.
