Password For RND 4250 NAS
HI; and thatnks for reading my conumdrum! haha NAS RND 4250. I have lost my password and did not set it up to send me a reset email. So is there any way to recover without distroying the drive(s)...

No, you can't, as that article is for units running OS6, which your NV+V1 cannot do. Do not confuse your RND4250 with an RN4220. They are entirely different, though our moderator seeming doesn't know that.
Please refer to this article: How-do-I-access-the-boot-menu-on-my-ReadyNAS-Duo-NV-NV-X6-or-600 . The default password for the admin account on your NV+ is netgear1, not password.
