Performance boost to my Netgear ReadyNAS RN-104 with powerful switch
Hi everone. I have a switch HP A5012 JE074A. Im using my NAS for storage of movies and tv-shows. I was thinking if ethernet-teaming with my NAS through the mentioned switch would boost performance? ...

May 28, 2017To my understanding the rn104 is limited by its weak processor and low ram. So, you will probably not see much improvement from teaming the nics.
If you like, you can go through some hints to increase stability and performance of rn104 here

What speeds are you seeing now? You might want to try NasTester (http://www.808.dk/?code-csharp-nas-performance)

I agree that NIC teaming on the RN104 won't help much (if at all). Also, NIC teaming generally only helps if you have multiple simultaneous users. It won't speed up Plex at all, unless you have someone else accessing the NAS at the same time.
If you want to try something on the network side, you could try jumbo frames I guess.

Your RN104 is faster than your broadband speed.
