Playback video on Tivo not working.
Ok, now i know this has been asked a few times but with varying replies, but no resolution. I am located in Australia so I'm talking about the Aussie version of Tivo. I have 2 Tivo units, I have...
The Aussie version of tivo is not fully dlna compatible. I emailed both Netgear and Tivo support or whats left of it and the conclusion I came to with the help I got was, Tivo is supposed to be DLNA ready but given that the aussie version is missing so much compared to the US version, It's just doesn't fully work.
There response was more or less it it is DLNA ready so it must be something wrong my end...
I gave up trying and Upgraded my tv to A Samsung Smart LED TV which is also DLNA compliant, reset the Readynas drive back to default and everything worked first go. All the common file types stream flawlessly.
So I guess there is to a degree DLNA software in the Oz Tivo's, as it does see the ReadyNas on a network and can stream "a" filetype, but it needs tweaking and given we are getting SFA out of TiVo support these days, it is like flogging a dead horse trying to get them to look at it.
