I have had my time maching working for over a year, now after the latest Mountian Lion I can not connect to Time MachineI have read other posts on this and tried all these.1) Time Machine is Checked and Enabled to 300 GB2) Services Discovery Services Bonjour service is Checked and all 3 Advertise are also checked.3) Standard Protocols AFP & CIFS are checked AFP is advertising on both Bonjour and Apple Talk4) I have automatic update firmware for NAS it's running latest (4.1.10 - The system is already running the latest firmware)5) Machine Name is short no spacesI can successfully mount thesesmb://nasafp://<nas ip>One thing I noticed is the Mac used to show the shares automatically but now I have to make it connect at login.Ed,

Is your Mac connected to your network via ethernet or wireless?

If you turn of wireless on your Mac and connect it to your network via ethernet (just to help isolate the cause of the issue) does Time Machine work fine then?

Yep, it sees it immediately, wireless is a no go :(

What router are you using? It sounds like either your router is configured incorrectly or it's incompatible with Bonjour advertisements over wireless.

Please Help - Mountain Lion Time Machine Not Working

I have had my time maching working for over a year, now after the latest Mountian Lion I can not connect to Time Machine

I have read other posts on this and tried all these.

1) Time Machine is Checked and Enabled to 300 GB
2) Services Discovery Services Bonjour service is Checked and all 3 Advertise are also checked.
3) Standard Protocols AFP & CIFS are checked AFP is advertising on both Bonjour and Apple Talk
4) I have automatic update firmware for NAS it's running latest (4.1.10 - The system is already running the latest firmware)
5) Machine Name is short no spaces

I can successfully mount these
smb://nas
afp://<nas ip>

One thing I noticed is the Mac used to show the shares automatically but now I have to make it connect at login.

What happens if you toggle the setting back and reboot the router?

I still see the NAS, maybe it was the router reboot, but now I'm further and have this issue
The operation couldn’t be completed. (OSStatus error 2.)

Perhaps open an support case (see Online Submission link in my sig) and post your case number.

Its all working now, the last (OSStatus error 2.) it was because I was using a user credentials, I needed to use the credentials setup on the time machine tab.

So far it looks okay, backup started and working so far.
