Thanks for a great fix! Even though I'm quite miffed at Netgear for not providing software optimized for OS X, I'm very happy that a sudo command in the terminal dropped my writing time for a 40 GB music library from 166 hrs to 2 hrs :-)
However, the details on how to create the "sysctl.conf" using the terminal is above me. How do I do this? I suppose I have to use the terminal command every time I boot my machine, if I don't manage to get the command into the sysctl.conf file. So I would be very grateful for a quick guide to how this is done!
