Possible Corrupted VPD on RNDU2220

Everyone, I had an old NAS sitting in our Baton Rouge office.  The Phd's there had no clue that a loud clicking noise was bad, and so it continues literally for years.  Over time, the powering on/off and bad electrical serivce corrupted the firmware to the point it would not boot.  I got a Jtag cable and fired up Putty on serial mode, eventually, I was able to get firmware loaded via a USB workaround.  However, RaidAR does not report a Model and Frontview is mostly blank.

After many hours of research I came to the conclusion that the firmware VPD may be fragged.  In past posts, the fix is straightforward, I am an RHCE, so Linux is my friend.  I'd really like some direction as to how to get this thing back in business.

The SN=2EH10B0W00124, model=RNDU2000

     Thanks tons.
