It may be possible but you won't get much help on this forum, they're really paranoid about modifying the OS here. It might be as simple as running "apt-get update" then "apt-get update cups" but I'm just theorizing and haven't tried any of this. It might break your nas too. As long as you're prepared to do a factory reset if anything goes wrong, a little experimenting never hurt anyone :)
