Problems printing with OS X Lion and 4.1.18 ***SOLVED***
I've read and read all the workarounds to get my Canon MP530 printer via my NV+'s print spoller to work under Lion. I've tried every configuration of drivers and "tricks" to get the printer to talk to...
"Unable to get printer status" with my HP Photosmart 7960 attached to my ReadyNAS Duo. I had configured this previously under Bonjour using Snow Lion but when I upgraded to Mountain Lion I would get the error message above. Tried deleting and re-adding the printer under Bonjour using system Preferences. In the end what worked for me was to find the printer using the Windows tab of the add printer sequence instead of using Bonjour, then select the usual printer driver from the list provided by Apple. No username or password, and no CUPS changes were needed.
