Problems trying to run ReadyNAS Duo V2 with Firefox and Windows 10
After trying unsuccessfully to run my old ReadyNAS Duo V2 and use it for sharing pictures, I shelved it again for future consideration. I posted a thread here about 10 - 11 months ago and got nowhere...

PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR is not a certificate problem. It's telling you that somehting between the browser and NAS is blocking the connection, and the most likely candidate is your security software. Try disabling Kaspersky Total Security. If that fixes it and Kaspersky has separate settings for different programs, that's where you should look for a permanent solution.
Once you get past this issue, you'll still have to deal with the self-signed certificate.

I tried disabling Kaspersky and running it again, but I got the exact same error message.
Then I shut everything down, rebooted the computer and then disabled Kaspersky first, then opened FF and attempted to access the NAS, but got the same results.

I just repeated the same thing I have already done and tried again to access the NAS.
Rebooted, disabled Kaspersky, launched FF and tried to access the NAS.
This time I got this message:
Secure Connection Failed
An error occurred during a connection to 192.168.0.25. Peer using unsupported version of security protocol.
Error code: SSL_ERROR_UNSUPPORTED_VERSION

This website might not support the TLS 1.2 protocol, which is the minimum version supported by Firefox. Enabling TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 might allow this connection to succeed.
TLS 1.0 and TLS 1.1 will be permanently disabled in a future release.

See potential solutions here: Readynas-duo-V2-unable-to-access-admin-page
and here: ReadyNAS-NV-V2-TLS-Support-may-not-be-able-to-access-soon
These are really stopgap solutions. Long term, you should look at replacing the NAS with one that runs a more up to date OS.

Thanks for the links. Good reading there. I understand most of it, some is a bit over my head. I'll reread it and see if I can use any of it.
I know the hardware is old now. But gee whiz, there is nothing wrong with it. It was in full use when I first bought it, but then adorned the bottom of a box for 7 years after my marriage breakup and a move to another province. Typical built in obsolescence in electronics.
Covid knocked my work down a sewer hole, I made less income this year than I was making 35 years ago! I just cannot afford to replace it.
I could use one of my 3 external drives, but I really want the use of a NAS.
I have a pair of 2Tb drives, but even buying a diskless new unit is hundreds of dollars. Then I'd have to research and figure out which one to get too. I'd really rather find a work-around for my Duo....
Thank you for your help, I appreciate that.
