I seem to have discovered the cause of my problems, since I no longer have troubling finding the NAS on my PS3 after connecting the
PS3 to my modem via a cable instead of using a wireless connection. I assume there are packet-loss issues between the LAN and WLAN
on the modem, which is manufacture by Zyxel. Hope this information is able to help others with the same problem.
