Latest update off my 'troubles' with the DLNA, the ReadyNAS and my Router.
I finally got my configuration to work. It took an update of the router firmware and disabling 'multicast streams' to get the NAS recognised by the PS3 again. I'm pretty sure now that the problem is within the router firmware and not in the ReadyNAS.

PS. For those still doubting the capacity of the firmware of D-Link's DIR-825 +> the DD-WRT guys published the official DD-WRT open source firmware for the DIR-825 on their website.
