PS3 fails to see DLNA without ReadyNAS reboot

I recently bought a ReadyNAS Duo primarily for storage and backup, no issues there, but I have similar issues with streaming that have been reported in the thread (I read it carefully before posting).
I bought a Philips 1100/05 Streamium and was really disappointed to be unable to connect wirelessly to the ReadyNAS without a little help from a PC, in my case a laptop also connected wirelessly and running the freeware "Cidero" program. The Streamium never discovers the ReadyNAS until I run Cidero - which discovers it in a few seconds, followed closely by the Streamium. If however I close Cidero the Streamium loses the connection (and can't regain it) if left idle for a few minutes; I have to run Cidero again to allow the Streamium to see the ReadyNAS.
Now I understand that it's probably my wireless router that's losing packets somewhere on the wireless to wired connectivity but I'm puzzled that the uPNP discovery works for my wireless PC but not my wireless Streamium... The ReadyNAS is wired to the same wireless hub, a BTHomehub2 that unfortunately doesn't have any configuration options that could help.
I'm not holding my breath but I thought I'd add my 2p worth to the thread in the hope that something new may pop up.
