RAID5 and stripe size
Hi,
I've just bought a ReadyNAS NV+ and switched to the Flex RAID mode. When I created a RAID5 volume, I didn't see a way to specify the stripe size. What is the stripe size used for the RAID5 configuration? And how is it determined?
Thanks in advance.

- ZeSebAspirantHi Folks,
I found this old post which can be a good start for my little adventure: I messed up and deleted a partition on my Raid 5 ReadyNAS NV+.... I am attempting to recover its content with the help of winhex, but I need to reconstruct the raid 5 based on physical disk images I took since I can't connect directly to the NV+ (winhex helps a lot with all this): however I need to know a few details on the raid 5 implemented in the ReadyNAS NV+:
- Stripe size - check, got the answer from Yoh-Dah: 32K
- Type of parity? backward, forward, dynamic, delayed?
- Any header size in sectors I need to consider?
- Anything else I need to consider?
... help
Merci!!
