- sphardy1ApprenticeThe ReadyNAS and client (PC or Mac) must be in the same subnet for RAIDar to be able to discover the NAS. Also, any firewall must allow RAIDar traffic to pass freely.
- buynetge_netAspirantNo.
In windows is OK,in macbook is NOT.
I have some pic: http://www.buynetge.net/read.php?tid=1007
please help me,thx. - sphardy1ApprenticeYou images clearly show your Mac is on a different subnet to the NAS and your PC, and this is why RAIDar cannot discover the NAS from your Mac
- buynetge_netAspirantwhy windows can discover 192.*.*.*ReadyNAS?
- buynetge_netAspirantmy windows laptop is 10.*.*.* can discover 192.*.*.*
- buynetge_netAspirantwho know why?
- sphardy1ApprenticeYour PC (10.45.1.5) is on the same subnet as multiple ReadyNAS devices (eg 10.45.1.92) Why you also see ReadyNAS with addresses 192.168.100.x I can't say without understanding your network setup. (I would guess you have 2 logical subnets operating on the same physical subnet)
Your mac is then connected to a completely different subnet than either PC or ReadyNAS (172.20.45.237) which doesn't match any of the ReadyNAS devices or your PC and so irrespective of what your PC shows, RAIDar is very unlikely to detect those ReadyNAS due to being on a completely different subnet
