The middle (2-5) drives do tend to get just a bit warmer, but not enough to make a difference. But do check that yours are not way hotter, which may indicate an air circulation issue. If you use a single RAID, then none work more than another. If you use more then one volume, then you control which volume(s), and thus drive(s), are used more

All drives are a few degrees from each other, and one RAID 5 (X-RAID) volume per NAS.
