Firmware & Debian 9
Hi Is there a chance that Netgear will upgrade to a higher Debian version with one of the next ReadyNAS firmware updates? Did anyone upgrade the underlying Debian 8 (Jessie) to something high...
That would be a major firmware upgrade and there hasn't been one of those in a long while. Recent firmware updates have been mainly bug fixes and security updates.
NETGEAR doesn't tend to announce their plans in advance.
Trying to upgrade to a newer Debian release yourself would break critical parts of the OS.
