Thanks, Stephen. I was able to do the direct-connect, set the IP address to be static within my network which made it visible to Raidar on the network when I switched it back in. Trying to go to "setup" from Raidar gave me a "the server is taking too long to respond" message, after which it disappeared from Raidar again and is showing no signs of coming back. I will try the support route. I thought this forum was all there was!
