I think the PSU died. Not long after I replaced the fan, which also had died.

I picked the wrong model (I thought I had picked the NV+), sorry. It's the NV+ that died. The Readynas Ultra and the Duo are what remain. None of them support drives larger than 2tb. I don't think they can be updated to the later OS, which I've read only the later produced models can. So that's why I'm not keen to spend money on a possible fix. I was hoping Netgear would be environmentally friendly and take them, as they break, off my hands.
