Ready NAS Duo stuck.

I am having trouble performing a factory re-install. The instructions are too vague. It says to hols the reset button for 5 seconds and wait for 1 led flash. obviously you have to do this with power on. I see no change when I push the reset button at any time. I called tech support and they wanted to charge me $70 just to tell me if they can help or not. I've only owned this since May. This is very frustrating. I have used Netgear for years and I'm pretty sure this will be my last and final purchase.

To perform other options such as Skip Volume Check, Tech Support Mode, and Memory Test, this is managed via the Power button.

With the system off, hold down the Power button, and wait for the desired LED flashes.
Release the Power button when the option you desire is active.
Systems with an LCD (NV+) will also display the boot menu item text on the LCD at each stage.
