ReadyDLNA doesn't appear as streaming option
I have a ReadyNAS NV and want to run ReadyDLNA/Upnp-AV, but it doesn't appear as
an option under Streaming Services! The only options shown under streaming
services are:
* SqueezeCenter
* iTunes Streaming Server
* Home Media Streaming Server
I have downloaded the ReadyDLNA Update Addons for
NV (standard update 1.0.17) and installed it, apparently successfully.
The logs say:
>> Successfully installed ReadyDLNA update for 4.1.6 firmware.
I have rebooted multiple times with no joy.
Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong? I thought that ReadyDLNA
was now part of RAIDiator 4.1.6.
Configuration:
ReadyNAS NV [X-RAID]
Firmware: RAIDiator 4.1.6 [1.00a043]
Memory: 1024 MB [2.0-2-2-6]

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredHave you tried clearing the web browser cache?
If still not there you may wish to try a firmware re-install: http://www.readynas.com/forum/faq.php#How_do_I_re-install_the_firmware%3F. Then install the update to 1.0.17 again.
Welcome to the forum! - wckarlAspirantI tried clearing the browser cache. I tried 3 different browsers (chrome, firefox, IE) and
no difference (still no DLNA).
I'll try reinstalling the firmware as you suggest and we'll see if it makes a difference.
Thx. - wckarlAspirantHooray -- reinstalling the firmware as you suggested seemed to do the trick, and I can
now see the DLNA option under streaming services. Strange.
Even more strangely, after the firmware reinstall the web interface does not seem to work
in chrome. But it works in firefox so I can move forward. Thanks for the suggestion of
reinstalling the firmware. - banjopickerAspirantI have a readyNAS Ultra 6. I have reinstalled the firmware (4.2.19) reinstalled readyDLNA, rebooted and repeated several times, but readyDLNA still doesn't show up as a streaming option. The log says that ReadyDLNA has been succesfully installed:
Sun Sep 25 23:30:30 EDT 2011 The ReadyDLNA add-on has been successfully installed.
Sun Sep 25 23:30:30 EDT 2011 Successfully installed ReadyDLNA 1.0.21 update.
UPNP does show up under the discovery tab along with Bonjour. UPNP refuses to stay checked as an option after the apply button is pushed.
I am becoming very frustrated with my inability to see and configure DLNA in my control panel. Can anybody help me out?
Thanks. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredThis thread is long dead and about a very different ReadyNAS. In future please open a new thread and if it's absolutely necessary link to a long dead thread.
4.2.19 includes a newer version of ReadyDLNA than 1.0.21. Have you tried clearing your web browser cache (e.g. Temporary Internet Files)?
You might want to open a tech support (http://www.readynas.com/support) case and seek assistance from them. - banjopickerAspirantThanks for replying. Though I realize this thread has been inactive for a while, it seemed like the most relevant to my topic, and I didn't want to prompt the "search the forums first" reply. Next time I will open a new thread and link to this one as you suggest.
Yes, I have cleared firefox's cache, and have tried explorer as well, but it doesn't show up. Any other ideas?
Thanks - volponeAspirant

Hi Banjopicker,
I've got exactly the same issue with my x86 Pro (Pioneer Édition) 4.2.19 / ReadyDLNA 1.0.21. i've reinstalled FW / DLNA add-on and cleared browsers cache:
- UPNP refuses to stay checked in Frontview UI
- ReadyDLNA doesn't appears as streaming options in Frontview UI
- DLNA is functional but some files and directories seems not scanned
Any solution or direction to fix this issue ?
Any location to download new ReadyDLNA upgrade (1.0.22) ?
Regards - pacifoxAspirantI have the same issue here !..
