ReadyDLNA issues with PS3

I have the latest firmware on my PS3 (2.7) and installed 4.1.5 on my ReadyNAS NV+. I have also installed the latest add-on for ReadyDLNA_4.1.5_0.4. Anytime I try to access a file off of my media share (video, music, or pictures), I get a "a DLNA protocol error 2101 has occurred" on the PS3 and shows no files in any of folders (video, music, or pictures). I have rebooted the ReadyNAS then rescanned the files with no luck. Initially, when I first setup my PS3 to use the ReadyNAS, I played a couple video clips and for a few seconds which worked fine. On the 3rd video clip, I started getting the error message above on the PS3 so I went ahead with the add-on and now it seems I can't even see the files now while still receiving the error message. Please let me know what information you need to help solve this issue. Thank you.

  • hi after updating to 4.1.5_0.4, it was few steps backwards with my readyDLNA scan now.
i have less video files and less MP3 songs when accessing with my PS3.

i do have many subfolders in my music folder and i do have chinese songs and videos with chinese names. not sure if that is the reason for the "non-scanning".

nevertheless, everything used to be good with 4.1.4 before the upgrades with PS3 2.6
  • I have the same problem with the latest add on - the one before worked fine, this one stops at B and under that I have no more folders or files starting with C in video, nothing past A in MP3

In fact the one common theme in both is that only 10 items are listed regardless of whether its a file or folder, in both Video and music.
    Just checked same for pictures.
Even a manual rescan does not fix this...

Has anything changed between the add-on of 21st compared to 30th that would affect this? Something to limit it to the first 10 items?
  • Installed the debug version to see if I could provide anything to be more helpful, same error 10 items only - all video list as unsupported data, (they didnt before).

Log entries show it has scanned all files, I can see if getting to the lsat in each sections.

It does seem to pick up the video size and codecs as I have these examples :
    [2009/05/02 15:15:12] metadata.c:488: debug: Parsing video /c/media/Videos/show/Season 1/show - S1 E 04 - episode.avi...
    [2009/05/02 15:15:12] metadata.c:615: debug: Container: 'avi' [/c/media/Videos/show/Season 1/show - S1 E 04 - episode.avi]
    [2009/05/02 15:15:12] metadata.c:756: debug: Stream 0 of /c/media/Videos/show/Season 1/show - S1 E 04 - episode.avi is 640x352 XViD

Shows others such as divx etc
    Last lines - [2009/05/02 15:17:59] scanner.c:822: warn: Scanning /c/media finished (8810 files)!

Happy to send logs in (don't really want to post it all in public forum ;-) ) if you tell me who to make it to attention of.
  • I know this is an old post but I have the same issue. ReadyDLNA used to work fine with the PS3 and then I couldn't see a few files I had added to the drive. So I assumed it must need to be manually rescaned from the ReadyNAS so I did that. Now I have no tracks instead of a few on the PS3. I've tried turning the media server feature on and back off in the ps3 and don't know what else to do. (Have also used display all on ps3 but shows nothing). The ps3 does show video, audio etc but nothing in them.

I tried updating ReadyDLNA but I got Invalid checksum.
