ReadyDNLA bizarre handling of MP3 tags

It sounds like you are saying the & is what triggers this behavior.
I don't know of any way to override it (and I suspect many would want this behavior). Perhaps Skywalker will chime in.
Having looked inside the ReadyDNLA files.db there seems to be a few different instances as well;
Artist1 Vs Artist2 + Artist3 Vs Artist4
Artist1 Presents Artist 2 feat. Artist3
It really has nothing to do with the ampersand. If the ID3 tag contains a field that is longer than 48 characters, it just gets called "Various Artists". The reason is because we ran across some media players that would buffer overflow and crash if these fields contained any longer strings. I suppose an alternative would be to just truncate at 48 characters.
Can you explore changing to truncating? Much more user friendly.
