ReadyNAS - PyTivo, Plex Server, and uTorrent

I did purchase a ReadyNAS 312 and successfully installed 2 4TB drives in Raid1 configuration. I had 3 must have processes that the ReadyNAS must handle in order to disconnect my PC from the network.
1) Plex Server - Successful
2) Torrent program (Transmission) - Successful
3) RSS Downloader for ShowRSS (Automatic) - Unsuccessful
I tried for almost 3 weeks to find support on setting up Automatic as a RSS Downloader for Transmission, but there was no real support, so I returned the ReadyNAS 312. Also, there was a problem with Transmission intermittently shutting down (known problem).
I have been searching for a good replacement NAS for the last several seeks. After comparing multiple NAS devices in the same category as the ReadyNAS 312 I have settled on the Synology DS214play. I will receive the new NAS next week. Comparing them both I found the DS214play to be superior, not only in hardware, but app availability and it has the ability to perform all three of my requirements.
