Thanks but I want to keep the existing backup. So use both disks for time machine, a different backup on each. I have different shares but even if they are mounted I can't select them from the list time machine offers cos they aren't there.

Hello Risky3uk,
TimeMachine backups get saved to the default volume, so it seems currently there is really no option to select or point the TimeMachine to back up to another volume of the NAS.
I guess you can post this a suggestion at the idea exchange board.
