attached the screenshot of what a I see from the PC
and the picture of what I see on the TV

I've performed further tests
1-
I noticed both ReadyDLNA and SMB services were enabled
I disabled the ReadyDLNA (SMB only) service and from VLC-Phone ONLY I see files on NAS in the correct way, BUT of course TV and STB does not support SMB
enabling ReadyDLNA only (no SMB) the wrong state comes again
2-
I removed, by means of web-page the forlder "2017" (parent of "J11-....")
from browser I see the right state, but on TV I still see the "J11-...." folder
3-
I deletd the VOLUME related to the disc
I re-installed the VOLUME related to pictures
I backupped from external USB3 disc the complete tree (with "2017" and "J11-...." folders)
all devices see the NAS files in the right way .....
..... but I do not think this is a solution
about your questions:
Have you tried creating a folder using simple name without using special character - and space?

What firmware is the NAS running

Please check if Enhance macOS feature under SMB is enabled. If so please try to disable it and check if that will help. Firmware version 6.8.1 is now officially available you may want to upgrade the firmware and check if that will make any difference.

I believe the 6.8.1 firmware is not yet available on our server so automatic update will not work. For this concern you may need to manually upload the firmware to the NAS, please go to this link where you can download the firmware and where you can find the steps to manually upgrade the firmware.

I'll do, but looking at change-log it seems to me there are no fix in relation to DLNA

I understand that on the release notes there is no specific information about a fix but we still encourage to troubleshoot and work with the NAS running on the latest firmware. Have encountered the same problem on other folder or just this specific folder or just this name of folder?

ok, I'll update the FW.
I had the same issue in the past adding one single in a different directory.
I do not rememer the file name, but I'm sure it did not contain strange char, the folder too.
