ReadyNAS 102 flashing power light listed offline

I am having an issue with my ReadyNAS.  It has been down for over a week and I am just now getting around to trying to solve the issue.  The power light is slowly blinking and both of the disk indicator lights are solid.  RAIDar does detect the NAS, but the status is listed as "No disks detected".  When I try to log in through Readycloud, it says that the device is offline and will not connect.     Since this is the first time I have ever had trouble with the device, I am unsure as to what to do.  My drives are not backed up elsewhere since I have them configured in RAID 1.  Firmware is 6.5.1

RAID isn't enough to keep your data safe - there are quite a few failure modes that you aren't protected against.  Hopefully you haven't hit one of them.

Power down the NAS, and then try testing the disks in a Windows PC with vendor tools (Seatools for Seagate, the WD dashboard for Western Digital).  You can connect the drives using either SATA or a USB adapter/dock.  Run the full test, not the short one (which is more of a confidence test).  Label the disks by slot as you remove them (so you can keep track of where they go later on).

Note the PC won't mount the disks, but the vendor tools will still find them.

You could also try powering down, removing disk 1, and then try powering up again and see if the NAS boots.

Quite old at this point, you should probably update it to 6.9.6 after you resolve the disk issues.

While you have the drives out for testing, it would also be helpful if you can use a spare drive (one containing no data you care about) and see if the NAS can create a volume on it.  If it won't in slot 1, try also in slot 2.  If it does work in slot 1, power down, swap it to slot 2, and see if the unit will boot.
