Stephen,
Thank you for your suggestions on my issue. I was able with your help, and a little luck, to get the ReadyNAS to WORK. The final solution was to use the source IP in the Host field instead of the computer name. Another interesting item is that the windows DNC back slash "\" is automaticly changed to Unix foward slash "/" when I selected the start button. Keep up the good work.

Stephen,
Thanks for the input. Everything looks good on the ReadyNAS side. I am not able to use the "Browse" feature on the source setup side tro find the files to backup.. Could this be my issue? Frank

The browse control is local (for the NAS). I'd assumed the source was the remote PC???

That Remote path does not look correct. C:\Users\E. Frank\My Documents would be the local path to the directory on the PC, not a network path.
The path needed may be //Insprion/c$/Users/E. Frank/My Documents or something like that
Note that for UNC paths on Linux machines (e.g. the NAS) slashes go the opposite way to on a PC.
Do you have another PC on your network?
If so, can you check if you can access the Backup source path using that? Using another PC you should be able to find the correct path.- EFrankWadeMar 02, 2016Aspirant
Stephen,
Sorry for the delayed response. I did a recheck and I can see the files I want to backup from two other PC's on my network. I tried the UNC both ways and still the source will not mount. I am in the process doing a hard reboot and reformating . Well keep you posted. . . Frank
