Readynas 104 - Slow transfer speeds

These are my test speeds when directly connected by CAT6 from my laptop to the NAS, slightly faster but still slower than expected.

What is the disk configuration (including RAID mode)? Is bitrot protection on?
Also, how old is the data volume? There have been settings changes over the years that increase performance, but you need to build a new volume to take advantage of them.
Note that NasTester speeds also depend on the laptop disk performance, since the test is a disk-to-disk transfer. Is the laptop using an SSD?
I am running RAID 5. Bitrot is disabled.
Data volume is about 7 months old. However, NAS has been powered down for 99% of that time. It was setup and has not been used since.
Yes, I am using an SSD on my laptop. I have also tried using my desktop and get similiar transfer speeds.
The write speeds are about correct. But your read speeds are too slow.
What is your RN104's network connection? Are you using jumbo frames or NIC bonding?
Write speeds are that slow with RAID 5?
NAS is directly connected to my router - Netgear R8000. I don't believe I'm using jumbo frames and not using NIC bonding. I have tried switching out network cables as well, which did not make a difference.
