Have you guys tried the other USB ports of the NAS?
I would also like to verify if you still remember if this started to happen before or after the firmware update.

thanks for your reply.
We will try another Port at the evening, because the System has an active backup task at the moment.
I looked at the log files and this shows that this problem occures after the firmware upgrade to 6.6.0.

Hi, also have the same problem on my readynas 104 with firmware 6.6.0 and full backup to 3TB my passport USB drives connected to the front USB port.
During backup the nas hangs and I have to power cycle it to access it again !!
Is it better to use the rear USB ports ?

Hi it-tude,
The engineers are aware of the reports about the USB detection. They are still working on a fix for it. Temporarily, the only work around that we have is to reboot the NAS upon connecting the USB to the NAS.
