Hello,
Some input on my side;
I have very few snapshot (I even disable half of it), I have not activated neither SMB nor disk spindown, so I can say that I am not using my NAS intensively.
This afternoon it hung again, but I only used HTTPS and the resync was running due to the bad way I had to disconnect it last time it froze.
I opened a case with support but it is very upsetting that I can not use my NAS at all since almost a week...

Sorry for what happened, NETGEAR support is trying the best resolve all these problems encountered when updating to the latest FW.
About the support case you have opened, it may be best if you contact through phone to speed up the process.

I'm also starting to believe that the problem relies in the snapshot creation process. I've since disabled and deleted all snapshots for the time being and see if the performance improves. The shares that had the most issues were those with hourly snapshots, which is why I think our users we're being kicked ou so often.
Hoping for a quick fix soon.

Hello,
I disabled all snapshots and it still locked up yesterday.
Only thing that was running was a transfer of a 2.3Go file from one share to another via Web Gui.
The system is once again resyncing.
I got an answer from support and they are analysing the logs.
I'll keep you posted.
