ReadyNAS 212 \ snapshot note created automaticly

I have configured to create daily snapshot for a folder but it doesn't create even there is no error in log. If i create snapshot manually then it creates normally.

  • These logs you provided us show that the option "Spin up disks to take scheduled snapshots" is not enabled. Go to System > Power > Disk Spin-down, check the box "Spin up disks to take scheduled snapshots" -- your disks are spun down, can't take snapshot, then 5 minutes later your disks wake up for backup jobs.

    What firmware are you running?

Is the NAS on a power schedule?

    Is disk spindown enabled?

Is the share set to "only take snapshots on changes"?

        Thanks.

Are you using "custom" snapshots or "smart" snapshots?  "Smart" snapshots are supposed to be taken at midnight, so they ought to work.

But if you choose "custom" snapshots you can set the time the snapshots will be taken.  My RN524x is on a 23:00 -> 1:00 power schedule, with the snapshot schedule set to 0:00-0:59 - and that is working for me.  I'm running 6.8.1 on that NAS.
