Can you download the NAS system logs through RAIDar?
You may also try booting the NAS to Read-only mode and see if you can access the data.

Thanks for your help with this.
I can't I don't think as it says the unit is booting and nothing more. How could I grab the logs through Raidair?
Can I run it in safe mode by using the reset button on the back?
Would reinstalling the OS help with anything? And would it delete anything as well?

You will not be able to run the NAS in safe mode using the reset button. Safe mode will appear when the NAS encounters the situations listed in this article.
OS re-install should not delete any data on your NAS but I don't think that it will be much of help on this situation. Perhaps try first booting the NAS to read-only mode and see if you can access the data on that mode.

When I'm home I'll give this ago straight away. If I am able to see the volumes in safe mode, but from memory it will not give me that function as everything seems to be working normally and it isn't displaying an error.
I think this has happened before and then after multiple attempts it came back on. I won't bother with the OS reinstall

I've been trying all evening to sort this but had no joy. There is no way for me to get the logs on Raidar or on admin page as I can't get onto either as it says that the unit is booting.
In Raidar is shows all volumes with a tick so I guess they are in working order. If it's any help the unit gets to an xagent.service which takes ahwile to boot and then gets stuck on upnphttpd.service at 99%. Is there anyway around this, I'm now petrified I'll lose data. I can't boot the unit into safe mode either. If I take out the disks it will but there are no logs to take.
Thanks for your help with this, I really hope we can sort it. I've left it unplugged over night so fingers crossed

That isn't possible. The system will automatically boot in safe mode in some circumstances. But there is no manual way to do that.
What you could attempt to do is boot the system in read-only mode (not the same as safe mode). Is that what you tried?
If read-only mode doesn't boot, then I suggest contacting paid support for this.

The only way to avoid data loss is to have backups. RAID isn't enough.
That said, I think the odds of paid support getting your NAS to boot w/o data loss are good. After that you should put a backup plan in place for your data.
